Time Warner Cable Presents: Movies As They Should Be Seen - “Citizen Kane”
I’ll be posting a new one of these each day this week so keep checking back for more film classics!
I’ve been doing some thinking and I’ve determined that it would be possible to improve Downton Abbey and make it accessible to all types of audiences. The video above is a 20 second example to show just how easy it would be.
Okay, so maybe it’s stupid to premiere a video about a British TV drama the day after America’s biggest TV watching day, but I’m proud of this, so here it is again.
Here are a few highlights from the enhanced version of Downton Abbey I did for PBS. Basically, an image of me pops into frame to interrupt the episode and explain cultural and historical information to Americans.
Also, I’m lying about that, but that’s the framing device for my Downton Abbey jokes in this video.
(Also, be careful, because if you’re not up to date with PBS’ airing of the show, because there are spoilers. It won’t spoil future stuff though.)
Ramsey Ess and Katy Perry Present “Firework” (1990’s Rock Version)
The link to the mp3 version of this seems to have died, so instead of reposting it, I made a music video out of it.
Here’s what I originally wrote about it:
“So, whenever I become obsessed with some ridiculous pop song, I can’t just enjoy it and keep it a secret like everybody else. I have to subvert it in some way to make an excuse for myself as to why I’m listening to that song over and over again. “No, no. ‘Hands on Me’ by Vanessa Carlton is my number one most played song in iTunes so I could make that music video.”
Anyway„ I can’t stop listening to “Firework” by Katy Perry. I burned a CD with just that song on it for my car. My fiance knows all the words to it, and she hates it. So, I did what must be done. I downloaded an a cappella version of the track and made this 1990’s Rock version of “Firework.”
I hope you enjoy it as much as I will deny enjoying it.”
RamseyEss.com Presents The Lost Sketches of Ramsey Ess
Featuring the likenesses of Rob Webber, Sarah Claspell, Tim Dunn and Mary Grill.
Hey. Check out the sweet graphics in this video. Like what you see? That’s cause this guy made (most of) them. (Imagine that I’m pointing to myself when you read the “this guy” part.)
Also, friends of mine made this and that actual content is funny.
