[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Those of you who know me have probably heard me talk about my love for Tom Scharpling’s The Best Show on WFMU. This week marks the 10th anniversary of the show, and to celebrate it, I thought I’d post a clip of one of my phone calls to the program (Although, again, if you know me, I’ve probably played it for you.).

On July 28, 2008, Paul F. Tompkins, and Tom were discussing celebrity sightings and opened it up to the listeners to discuss their own examples of their best and worst celebrity sightings. I think the call went pretty well.

Alan Zimmer: Lead Project Head of IT

One of my favorite sketches that I’ve written has finally made it online!

Alan Zimmer: Lead Project Head of IT Featuring Tim Dunn, Amber Nelson, Alison Bennett and Mary Grill in the cast Ben Rameaka, Dan Bookbinder and a bearded and eye-patched Ramsey Ess in the chorus, TV’s Eric Drysdale on guitar, John Frusciante on drums, Jill Morris on flute and Alex Kane on flag.

Dad Who is a Ghost

These two sketches I wrote appeared in GORILLA GORILLA’s show. They are easily two of my favorite things I’ve written.

Dad Who is a Ghost Part One:

Dad Who is a Ghost Part Two

They star Davram Steifler as the dad, Timothy Dunn as Stevie and Jennifer Bartels as the girlfriend.

Don’t miss the next hilarious show, July 6th at the UCB Theatre. Reservations can be made here.

Once again, I, Ramsey Ess, bail out Vanessa Carlton…

Vanessa Carlton’s last single, “Hands on Me,” failed to break U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Top 20. I’m trying to help her out by making a music video for this single. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HELP OUT THE WRITER OF “A THOUSAND MILES?”

“Did You Know…?” Hamsters

Around this time each month I would post the newest Famous Hamsters in History that I have drawn (as brought to you by State Farms Insurance), but this week I have something a little different. This week, I’m bringing you a public service announcement that concerns hamsters, their personal lives and you. Please watch, and more importantly, please learn.

The First Grade Journal of Ramsey by Wes Anderson

After seeing what Ken Burns could do with my journal, I decided to keep it local, and send my journal to a few New York film makers. Here’s what Wes Anderson sent back.
